What to do around
Cabarete

Playa Encuentro is our closest beach and it is only a 5-minute walk away from Surfbreak.

Although surfing and kiting are one of the top attractions of this area, there are still a lot of things to do apart from them that you will definitely love!

Check out our recommendations below if you are looking for something amazing.

(We can organize just about any activities for you. We concentrate on those that are the best, the ones where guests come back saying "This was the best day of my life.")

Snorkeling

Snorkeling in Sosua Beach + Sunset in Alicia Beach

  • No need for a guide

  • 1-2h duration

  • All levels

  • No organization required

What is it about:

Sosua Beach is an incredibly nice beach 15 minutes away from Surfbreak by Guagua or by car. It has a coral just 150 meters away from the shore that you can easily reach out by swimming these couple of meters.

Once you get to the beach, the coral is to the left of the bay. If you pay attention, you will see some waves forming at a point because of the shallow water over the reef. That is the point where you must swim to.

Our recommendation is to go around 3.30 or 4 pm so you don't get the worst sun. Also, once you finished sunbathing in Sosua you can walk to Alicia Beach and see a wonderful sunset while you eat in an amazing restaurant beachfront.

If you stay until it gets dark, you will have to come back by taxi or carrito (shared taxi)
